ThumaPay is preparing for launch. Licence applications are in progress with the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe and IPEC. We hold no customer funds and offer no regulated service until authorised. Read our regulatory status.
For business

Take payments. Pay people. Reconcile once.

Collect from customers however they pay, settle on a schedule you can plan around, and push bulk payouts to staff, drivers or suppliers — all against one ledger that actually balances.

Predictable settlement Bulk payouts Itemised reconciliation
Settlement summary Example
Collected (142 payments)$3,480.00
ThumaPay fee$41.76
Refunds processed-$120.00
Settling to your bank$3,318.24

Every settlement arrives with the transaction list that produced it, so the figure on your bank statement can be traced back to individual payments without manual matching.

Collect

However your customers want to pay

In person

Show a QR code or send a payment request to a phone number. The customer confirms in their app and you see it land immediately.

Online

Drop a checkout into your site or app with a few lines of code, or send a hosted payment link if you have no site at all.

On account

Invoice regular customers and let them settle from their wallet, with reminders that do not need chasing by phone.

Pay out

Paying a lot of people at once

Built first for Thuma's own driver network, then opened up — because paying fifty people individually is where most finance teams lose their afternoon.

Bulk payouts

Upload a file or call the API once. Each recipient is paid to their wallet, mobile money or bank, and failures are reported per line rather than failing the batch.

On a schedule

Set payroll or commission runs to repeat. Approvals are required before money moves, and the approver is recorded.

Full audit trail

Every payout carries who authorised it, when, and what it cost, which is what an auditor will ask for.

Reconciliation

Numbers that tie out

What you getWhy it matters
Per-payment recordsEach settlement links to the individual payments behind it, so you are never reverse-engineering a lump sum.
Separated feesOur fee and statutory tax appear as distinct lines, which is what your accountant needs for VAT and expense treatment.
Stable referencesReference numbers do not change between authorisation and settlement, so matching is deterministic.
ExportsCSV and API export for any date range, formatted to import into standard accounting packages.
